If you have seen a cat or kitten (either on the Petfinder website or at one of the adoption clinics) that you are interested in adopting, the first step is to complete an Adoption Application Cats and kittens are adopted on a first-come, first-served basis -- please submit your application for a specific animal as soon as possible. Completed applications may be mailed to A.C.A.T., P.O. Box 51683, Albuquerque, NM 87181-1683 or brought to one of our adoption clinics.

You will be interviewed by an A.C.A.T. representative, and, upon approval of your application, will be able to complete the Adoption Contract and take home the newest member of your family. At the time of adoption, you will be given the name and phone number of your cat or kitten's foster family in case you have any questions.

In the weeks following the adoption, you can expect a phone call from an A.C.A.T. representative who will follow-up with you on how your new pet is adapting to his/her new home as well as answer any questions you may have.
