There are numerous websites that are filled with great information about the general issue of cat overpopulation, and the related issue of feral cat management.
  1. "Eliminating Pet Animal Overpopulation in New Mexico." February, 2002. Report prepared by No More Homeless Pet of New Mexico, a New Mexico Non-Profit Corporation, P. O.   2. The Cat Site includes great information on cat care subjects such as safe outdoor enclosures, what to do about hairballs, Christmas safety tips, etc.
  3. The Cat Fancier's Association has information on their efforts to help curtail overpopulation through responsible breeding and support of feral cat management programs.
  4. Operation Catnip is a nonprofit organization that operates a high-volume, no-charge clinic at which feral and stray cats are spayed/neutered and vaccinated.
  5. The Feral Cat Coalition has spayed/neutered over 15,700 cats in 10 years! Their webpage contains numerous links to other organizations and material about feral cat management and cat overpopulation.
  6. Alley Cat Allies are the foremost experts on feral cats and leaders in the national effort to control feral cat colonies through trap-neuter-release. Alley Cat Allies has numerous factsheets and publications on feral cat management which can be downloaded from the website or ordered from them.
  7. The Stanford Cat Network is a volunteer non-profit organization supporting spay/neuter feeding and adoption at Stanford University. Not funded by the University. This organization has a phenomenal website that contains terrific information about cat overpopulation and copies of their annual newsletter which is also excellent.
